Round 5 - ORA Winter DH Series 2023

As the dust settles on the tracks of Illinbah, there's an electric vibe of accomplishment and camaraderie in the air. The 2023 Outlook Riders Alliance Winter Downhill Series has come to a climactic conclusion with round 5, proving to be the most exhilarating chapter of Queensland's best series to date. Riders, supporters, and enthusiasts, from near and far, bore witness to an epic showdown of skill, speed, and determination.

Amongst the highly skilled and determined riders, Bryce Sterling carved his path to victory. With nerves of steel and an unwavering focus, Sterling blitzed through the course with a record time of 3:19.49. Each turn, jump, and sprint bore testimony to his supreme skill and unyielding determination, making him the fastest rider of the day.

In the U19 Women’s category, the spotlight was stolen by the sensational Sacha Mills. Fresh from her stint at the UCI Junior World Championships, Mills showcased an astonishing performance. She didn’t just clinch the title in her category, but also triumphed over the elite women, an affirmation of a rising star in the world of downhill biking.

Illinbah turned into a village, drawing biking aficionados from every corner of the NSW & QLD. Each brought their unique style, flair, and unquenchable thirst for victory. The diversity on display was not just a celebration of Aussie talent but a testament to the appeal of the Outlook Riders Alliance Winter Downhill Series.

Outlook once again proved why it’s the maestro of organising grand downhill events. A symphony of thrill, excitement, and unmatched competition - a true spectacle for every spectator.

As we wrap up the monumental 5-round series, the echoes of the roars, the clashing gears, and the triumphant cheers will linger for a long time. Each rider, spectator, and the serene yet challenging terrains of Illinbah are not just part of a competition but a chapter of a growing legacy.

Congratulations to all the winners, participants, and the unyielding spirit of the Outlook Riders Alliance. Here's to more trails, jumps, and exhilarating races in the years to come!

Stay tuned, keep those gears oiled, and spirits high – who knows what heights the 2024 series will scale! Until then, ride on and ride safe.

The event was supported by Kenny Racing Australia, Funn MTB, and CST Tyres, who provided prizes for every category.

Off the Brakes and Boomers Bike Park didn't disappoint, delivering cash prizes of $250, $150, and $100 for the top three positions in the Elite and Under 19's categories. NSD Dynamics also chipped in with some awesome suspension service vouchers for the Under 17's.

Just Ride Nerang and We the Riders supported the younger categories with vouchers at their store and online store, respectively, for the Under 15's and Under 13's. The Ladies were on course again setting it on fire.
